This\u00a0symbolism is not explained, because the Scripture has already\u00a0explained it (<em>The Throne and the Lamb<\/em>, pg. 18).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Lion of the tribe of Judah:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Judah is a lion\u2019s whelp;<br \/>\nFrom the prey, my son, you have gone up.<br \/>\nHe bows down, he lies down as a lion;<br \/>\nAnd as a lion, who shall rouse him? Gen 49:9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. Heb 7:14.<\/p>\n<p>The Root of David:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,<br \/>\nAnd a Branch shall grow out of his roots.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cAnd in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse,<br \/>\nWho shall stand as a banner to the people;<br \/>\nFor the Gentiles shall seek Him,<br \/>\nAnd His resting place shall be glorious.\u201d Isa 11:1, 10.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">And again, Isaiah says:<br \/>\n\u201cThere shall be a root of Jesse;<br \/>\nAnd He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles,<br \/>\nIn Him the Gentiles shall hope.\u201d Rom 15:12.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cI, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.
