Russia Might Use Veto Power to Protect Israel at United Nations, Israeli Official Says
One of the research books used for Revelation Revealed, was Fred Miller’s (no relation) Revelation: A Panorama of the Gospel Age. In that book, he talks about a huge revival that will engulf Russia, starting in the Ukraine (see Russian Origins). Interestingly enough, the year after the Iron Curtain came down, David and I went to the Ukraine for 10 days on a short term mission at the invitation of what had been the underground church for the town of Kremenchug “City on the Rock.” By the time we left, the whole city had come to hear the preaching, receive prayer, and make decisions for Messiah! For the past year I have been seeing positive reports about Putin and an affection and respect he entertained for the Jewish people, due to kindness shown him as a boy in need by a Jewish family (does anyone have a link to that story?)
Before I saw this article, I had been wondering if the world superpower mantle would pass from the United States, to Russia, before the return of the King. We have abandoned our historic official blessing of Israel, while Russia might be seen to be taking it up, and we are also as a nation so infected with political correctness and foolish decision making at the very highest levels concerning government’s basic responsibility to secure our borders and provide for our common defense, something that Putin and Russia do not seem to be struggling with. So all that is to say, keep a watch on these things …
As far was whether Miller is right or not, I don’t know the answer to that yet. His assertion is based on identifying the events of Eze 38-39 with Armegeddon (the interval of the 6th and 7th bowl) and although I have ideas about how the final chapters of Ezekiel fit into the scheme of Revelation … still studying that … maybe that will be a future book?
